Campus Community:
All of us throughout our College community and the entire Binghamton area are shocked, distressed, and deeply saddened by the events of yesterday. Truly, our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to the victims, their families and other loved ones, and indeed all who are suffering because of yesterday’s tragedy.
Nothing that is said can be of much comfort at a time such as this. About all that one who is suffering, hurt, or empathizing can do is reach out, hug a loved one, and tell that person that one loves him or her deeply.
I want to assure the entire College community — students, employees, alumni, and others who may have some connection to Broome Community College — that we are here to help in some way when help is needed. On Monday you will be learning of assistance that is available through our Counseling Center for anyone who needs assistance.
Some of the trauma and aftermath associated with this tragedy may not even surface for days or even weeks. But it is important to know that our College community and indeed our community-at-large will indeed pull together, not just wait for but take proactive steps to reach out to those among us in need, and eventually move past the horror and trauma of this senseless event.

Hello! all I’m Veronica Canales from El Salvador. I was a CASS student of the 2006-2008 promotion. Recently I came back to my home country, and I really appreciate this College. As the vice-president said the day of the graduation. I keep a piece of this great college very deep in my heart. It was a really nice experience being with international students coming from all over the world. For that reason I would like to congratulate all the faculty members and professors who made a difference with us, to prepare our professional life. As I told you before being part of the CASS family is the best thing that happend in my whole life. I won’t ever ever forget all you guys did for all of us. Thank you so much, hopefully I will see you there some day. Thank you so much!!! and have a happy independence day!!!!!
